I began “Music with Aunt Karin” classes with my nieces a few months ago. We had so much fun making music together that it didn’t matter that we were miles apart! Technology is not always perfect, but we make the best of it using zoom.
I began playing the violin at a very young age. Then I discovered my love of singing in highschool. That is when I knew my love of music would take me on a lifelong journey. I received a Bachelor’s of Music in Music Education and Master of Music in Vocal Performance. I currently hold a state teaching license in Massachusetts and Connecticut. I am certified in the Orff music method Levels 1&2 and a member of the National Association of Music Educators along with the MA Chapter. I have served as an adjudicator for junior high/ high school regional choral auditions as well as All State Choral auditions.
I sing regularly in churches and solo with local community groups.
I have been a public school music teacher for 17 years. (I have taught literally THOUSANDS of children) . I am as comfortable singing an Italian Aria as I am teaching little ones to keep a steady beat.
My absolute FAVORITE thing in the world …. Is to hear children SING. …
I am so excited that you will have the privilege of hearing them too!
In August of 2021 I certified in Level 1 Advanced Vocal Pedagogy through Sonaura Voice.
